Art Basel Scenography

For the international Art Basel fair in Hong Kong, VG.TAL3Design designed an immersive plant scenography conceived as a work of art in its own right. The challenge: to create, within a temporary and high-traffic exhibition space, a spectacular vertical décor that could be installed in record time and remain entirely maintenance-free for the full duration of the event. Our workshop answered with a preserved green wall made of naturalised forest moss, whose sculpted reliefs play with light to draw a landscape of depth and texture. The preserved moss, needing no water, light or irrigation, keeps its softness and natural colour with zero maintenance, an ideal response to the logistical constraints of an art fair. An enveloping soundscape extends the sensory experience and turns the booth into a green interlude at the heart of Art Basel's buzz. This project showcases VG.TAL3Design's expertise in bespoke plant scenography for cultural events and prestige brands, in France and worldwide.
