Watering is fully automated. We install a closed-circuit or mains-connected hydroponic system, controlled by a smart timer. Water flows down by gravity along a technical substrate (often felt or an irrigation mat) to feed each plant directly at the root.
Which plants are used in the Oxygen Collection?
We select robust botanical species recognised for their living greenery properties, such as Spathiphyllum, Phalandrium or Chlorophytum. The final choice depends on the light exposure of your space (natural or artificial via horticultural lighting) and the desired aesthetic. Each wall is a living, unique artistic composition.
What maintenance does a living wall require?
A living wall requires regular maintenance (about one visit per month). This includes pruning the plants, checking the irrigation parameters, adding nutrients and occasionally replacing tired specimens. Does a living wall cause humidity?
It is a natural regulator! The living wall releases water vapour through evapotranspiration, helping to maintain a healthy humidity level in offices that are often too dry because of air conditioning or heating. However, our systems are perfectly watertight and cause no moisture on load-bearing walls thanks to a ventilated air gap.
