Exterior Wall for Loft

For a private loft in Montpellier, we designed an outdoor green wall meant to dress a façade while respecting the existing structure. The constraint was to install a vertical garden in the open air without drilling into or damaging the original wall, while ensuring the plants would hold up in the Mediterranean climate. Our solution is a free-standing stainless steel structure, with no direct contact with the wall, that guarantees ventilation and durability. It brings together 4 connected modules and an irrigation system suited to outdoor conditions, for controlled maintenance. The composition blends perennial and evergreen plants chosen for their resistance to sun and wind. Standing 2 metres high and 4 metres long, this living green wall turns the outdoor space into a true natural artwork, improves the thermal comfort of the façade and extends the loft's biophilic spirit. In Montpellier, this custom plant scenography creates a smooth transition between architecture and nature, and lastingly enhances the home.
