Living Green Module

For the indoor patio of a private loft in New York, VG.TAL3Design designed a bespoke living green wall measuring 2.2 metres high by 1 metre wide. The main constraint: to green the space with no direct contact with the existing wall, in order to protect the structure and ensure perfect ventilation behind the system. Our workshop developed a free-standing stainless-steel structure, independent of the wall, with a built-in closed-circuit automatic irrigation system that feeds each plant precisely. The living species were chosen for their air-purifying qualities and their suitability to indoor light, creating a lush, purifying ecosystem at the heart of the loft. This living green wall improves air quality, regulates humidity and brings a soothing plant presence into a contemporary interior.
