Loft Exterior Green Wall

Marseille • 2020

In Marseille, we designed a green wall for the outdoor patio of a private loft, meant to turn a courtyard into a haven of greenery. The constraint was to install a vertical garden in the open air, able to withstand the Mediterranean climate and the sun, without damaging the patio wall. Our solution is a free-standing stainless steel structure, with no contact with the wall, made of 2 connected modules that guarantee ventilation and durability. The living wall has an irrigation system suited to outdoor conditions, for controlled maintenance. The composition blends perennial and evergreen plants chosen for their resistance to sun and heat. Standing 2.5 metres high and 2 metres long, this living green wall turns the patio into a true natural artwork, improves thermal comfort and extends the loft's biophilic spirit. In Marseille, this custom plant scenography creates a living, soothing outdoor space that lastingly enhances the home.
