Exterior Green Wall

Main view of Exterior Green Wall in Brest, custom living green wall

For a private home in Brest, we designed an outdoor green wall meant to dress a façade while preserving the existing structure. The constraint was to install a vertical garden in the open air, able to withstand the oceanic climate and sea spray, without damaging the original wall. Our solution is a free-standing stainless steel structure, with no direct contact with the wall, that guarantees ventilation and durability. It is fitted with an automated irrigation system that ensures healthy growth and reduces maintenance. The composition brings together perennial and evergreen plants chosen for their resistance to wind and moisture. Standing 2.2 metres high and 1 metre long, this living green wall turns the exterior into a natural artwork, improves the thermal comfort of the façade and reinforces the home's biophilic spirit. In Brest, this custom plant scenography creates a smooth transition between architecture and nature, and lastingly enhances the home.
