Living Green Partition

Paris • 2023

In Paris, VG.TAL3Design designed a partition-shaped plant module for a break area, measuring 2.2 metres high by 1 metre long. The challenge: to create a living plant divider able to partition an open space while improving working conditions, without weighing down the layout. Conceived as a free-standing plant partition, this module defines zones and creates breathing spaces without fully closing off the volume, while letting light flow through. The living species, fed by a closed-circuit automatic irrigation system, were selected for their air-purifying qualities and their suitability to indoor light. Beyond separation, this plant partition improves air quality, dampens noise and supports the teams' wellbeing and concentration. This project illustrates VG.TAL3Design's expertise in bespoke living plant partitions and dividers for open spaces, offices and collaborative areas, in Paris and across France.
