Villa Green Ceiling

Florence • 2022

In a private villa in Florence, we created a preserved plant ceiling that dresses the space with refinement and enhances the interior architecture. The challenge was to bring a strong plant presence overhead, with no watering or maintenance constraint in a high-end interior. Our solution relies on preserved plants, natural and maintenance-free, that need neither water nor light and keep their freshness for years. Suspended from the ceiling, the composition combines flat mosses, ball mosses and preserved foliage to create a dense, even plant vault. This aerial plant scenography brings a feeling of suspended nature, improves the acoustic comfort of the rooms and creates a biophilic atmosphere conducive to wellbeing. Designed bespoke, the installation dialogues with the villa's volumes and materials. In Florence, this preserved plant ceiling turns a classic ceiling into an exceptional feature that surprises the eye and gives the interior a natural, lasting elegance.
