Saunier Duval Green Wall

For Saunier Duval, a brand of the Vaillant group, in Nantes, we designed and created a preserved green wall that dresses a lift shaft over its full height. The challenge was to green a narrow, vertical volume, highly visible yet hard to reach, with no watering or maintenance constraint. Our solution relies on preserved plants, natural and maintenance-free, that need neither water nor light and keep their freshness for years. The composition blends flat mosses, ball mosses and preserved foliage to create a dense plant ribbon that draws the eye from floor to ceiling. Standing 5 metres high and 1.5 metres long, this green wall structures the vertical circulation, improves acoustic comfort and creates a soothing biophilic atmosphere. In Nantes, this custom preserved green wall turns a simple lift shaft into a natural signature that enhances the company's image and leaves a lasting impression on employees and visitors.
