Green Wall and Ceiling

For a brasserie in Paris, VG.TAL3Design created both a green wall and a green ceiling to wrap the dining room in a warm, immersive atmosphere. The challenge: to green a busy restaurant where durability and the absence of maintenance are essential. Our workshop answered with maintenance-free naturalised plants, preserved mosses and foliage, running up the wall and then overhead across the ceiling, creating a canopy effect that encloses the space and softens the acoustics. Being preserved, these plants need no water, light or irrigation and stay flawless with no maintenance, a major asset in hospitality. The green ceiling, rarer and more striking than a wall alone, defines the venue's identity and impresses guests from the moment they walk in. A project that demonstrates VG.TAL3Design's command of bespoke green walls and green ceilings for the greening of restaurants, hotels and shops, in Paris and across France.
