Botanical Niche

Milan • 2021

In Milan, we created a plant fresco set into a niche, so that it blends harmoniously into the venue's architecture. The challenge was to use an existing recess as a natural showcase, with no watering or maintenance constraint. Our solution relies on preserved plants, natural and maintenance-free, that need neither water nor light and keep their freshness for years. The composition fits precisely the dimensions of the niche, blending flat mosses, ball mosses and preserved foliage to create a dense, deep plant artwork. Standing 2 metres high and 1 metre long, this plant fresco acts as a living frame built into the wall that catches the eye and brings a targeted touch of nature. It improves the atmosphere of the space and creates a discreet, elegant biophilic atmosphere. In Milan, this custom preserved green wall turns a simple niche into an exceptional detail that enhances the architecture and lastingly elevates the interior.
