Botanical Mural with Screen

Amsterdam • 2022

In Amsterdam, we created a plant fresco incorporating a screen, for a successful alliance between nature and technology. The challenge was to pair an active digital device with a plant decor, with no maintenance constraint and no risk to the electronics. Our solution relies on preserved plants, natural and maintenance-free, that need neither watering nor special light and stay perfectly dry around the screen. The composition subtly frames the central screen, playing on flat mosses, ball mosses and preserved foliage to deliver a design that is both attractive and functional. The result brings together the moving image and the plant material in a single wall scenography, where the displayed content stands out against a setting of greenery. This plant fresco enhances communication while creating a soothing biophilic atmosphere. In Amsterdam, this custom preserved green wall proves that screen and nature can coexist elegantly, for a plant artwork full of meaning, lasting and free of any maintenance.
